Do you thrive on interaction in public but love keeping things organized and running like clockwork? Charleston Digital is looking for a Community & Operations Manager to be the heartbeat of our Flagship tech incubator in downtown Charleston, and a key promoter of the Charleston Learning Center, our home for the classes, workshops, and programs that fuel the region’s growing tech community.

This is a job for someone who is just as comfortable out on the floor as behind a desk. You’ll be the friendly face who greets members and class participants by name, the problem-solver who keeps our space and our programs running smoothly, and the promoter who gets Charleston excited about what’s happening at the incubator and the Learning Center.

  • Manage financial records, invoices, and membership renewals.
  • Maintain accurate dashboards, data records, and reporting systems.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for internal meetings and shared space bookings.
  • Keep shared spaces (kitchen, conference rooms, common areas) clean, organized, and fully functional.
  • Oversee mail, package distribution, and storage organization.

Charleston Learning Center: programs & classes

  • Own day-to-day operations of the Charleston Learning Center, from scheduling through setup, teardown, and cleanup.
  • Coordinate the calendar of classes, certificate programs, and meetups, working with presenters and community partners to keep programming full and fresh.
  • Manage registration, attendance tracking, and materials for every class, workshop, or certificate program.
  • Promote Learning Center offerings through social media, email, flyers, and grassroots community outreach to get people in the door.
  • Coordinate private bookings and rentals of the space for meetups, corporate meetings, and events, including catering and room setup.
  • Build and maintain relationships with presenters, community organizations, and local businesses to expand programming.
  • Gather participant feedback and use it to continuously improve the program lineup.

Events & community engagement

  • Support the planning and execution of workshops, networking events, and larger community programs.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and day-of support.
  • Draft and share updates, announcements, and community communications across email and social channels.
  • Collaborate with the Charleston Digital team to create opportunities that strengthen connections within the tech ecosystem.
  • Get out into the community (partner events, meetups, local functions) to spread the word about what’s happening at the incubator and the Learning Center.

Community & member experience

  • Welcome and support members, visitors, vendors, and class participants with professionalism and warmth.
  • Lead onboarding for new residents, guiding them through membership benefits and resources.
  • Build relationships with members, gathering feedback and proactively addressing needs.
  • Conduct tours for prospective residents, students, and community partners.
  • Ensure common areas reflect a professional, collaborative, and welcoming environment.
