About the role
This is a role built for someone early in their career who is community-minded and seeking to make an impact with a small and high-achieving team. You'll create content, help plan and run events, and keep day-to-day administrative work moving across marketing and operations.
What you'll do
- Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, create and schedule social media content that showcases our members, events, and programs.
- Draft and send email newsletters and event announcements.
- Organize and maintain digital libraries of photos and videos, event listings, and related materials.
- Support planning and day-of execution for events, workshops, and programs across Charleston Digital and the Charleston Learning Center.
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, including scheduling, room and space setup, catering, and materials.
- Help manage event and class registrations and attendee communications.
- Support financial record-keeping, invoicing, and membership renewals.
- Serve as a warm, welcoming first point of contact for members, visitors, and vendors.
- Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and day-to-day facility upkeep.
- Sort and distribute mail and packages; ensure all shared spaces are clean, organized, and fully functional.
What we're looking for
- 1-2 years in marketing, events, communications or admin support.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field preferred, but not required
- Warm, approachable, and great at building relationships.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with an eye for bringing order and structure to physical and digital spaces.
- Community-minded and motivated by creating an environment where people succeed.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, AI tools, and social media platforms.
- Flexible and resourceful, with the ability to roll with the punches and figure things out on the fly.
- Bonus: experience with social media management, graphic design, or content creation.
- Bonus: experience supporting events for a nonprofit, school, or community organization.
- Bonus: passion for economic and tech-business community development.
Compensation & benefits

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, in-person at the Flagship tech incubator, with occasional after-hours events
