STEM camp 2025
Charleston Digital is pleased to announce the return of the weeklong Everyday STEM Summer Camp for middle school students at the Charleston Learning Center. The 2026 camp will retain its proven structure and balance of cybersecurity, robotics, mental performance, and real-world STEM applications, while introducing refreshed activities designed to boost engagement, creativity, and career awareness.
Scheduled for July 13-17, 2026, the camp offers students a hands-on opportunity to explore how STEM shows up in everyday life through collaborative challenges, problem-solving, and teamwork. The camp will be led by Carla Ferrette-Clark, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) educator at Military Magnet Academy, who brings nine years of experience coaching award-winning robotics and cybersecurity teams.
The STEM Summer Camp is part of the Charleston Learning Center’s broader mission to provide accessible, high-quality educational programming for the Charleston community. In addition to its professional tech and business certificates, the center plans to expand its youth education offerings with Everyday STEM Saturdays, a monthly hands-on enrichment program for middle school students.
“By focusing on real-world STEM applications for middle schoolers, my goal is to spark early interest in technology and innovation,” said Carla Ferrette-Clark.
Programming at the Charleston Learning Center, including the Everyday STEM Camp, is supported by grants from Google, Comcast NBCUniversal, the City of Charleston, Charleston County Economic Development, the iFiveK race, and invested individual supporters in the Charleston region.
