Community & Operations Manager

Do you love creating welcoming spaces, building connections, and keeping things running smoothly? Charleston Digital is looking for a Community & Operations Manager to be the heartbeat of our Flagship Tech Incubator in Downtown Charleston.

In this role, you’ll be the friendly face that greets members and visitors, the problem-solver who keeps our space organized and efficient, and the connector who helps fuel Charleston’s growing tech community.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Office Management

  • Manage financial records, invoices, and membership renewals.
  • Maintain accurate dashboards, data records, and reporting systems.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, programs, and events.
  • Ensure all shared spaces (kitchen, conference rooms, common areas) are clean, organized, and fully functional.
  • Oversee mail and package distribution, as well as storage organization.

Events & Engagement

  • Support the planning and execution of programs, workshops, and networking events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and day-of support.
  • Draft and share updates, announcements, and community communications.
  • Collaborate with the Charleston Digital team to create opportunities that strengthen connections within the tech ecosystem.

Community & Member Experience

  • Welcome and support members, visitors, and vendors with professionalism and warmth.
  • Lead onboarding for new residents, guiding them through membership benefits and resources.
  • Build relationships with members, gathering feedback and proactively addressing needs.
  • Conduct tours for prospective residents and community partners.
  • Ensure common areas reflect a professional, collaborative, and welcoming environment.

Who You Are – Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in office management, facilities coordination, or administrative operations, or community management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • People-Oriented: Warm, approachable, and great at building relationships.

Organized & Detail-Minded: You thrive on keeping things in order and on schedule.

Community-Driven: You love supporting others and creating an environment where people succeed.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, QuickBooks (or similar tools).

Flexible & Resourceful: You know how to roll with the punches and make things happen.

Bonus experience & qualities:

  1. Experience with advocacy and/or non-profit fundraising.
  2. Knowledge of city/local government and political landscapes.
  3. Passion for economic and tech-business community development.

Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person position based at the Flagship Tech Incubator (Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM), with occasional after-hours events.
