Charleston Digital Announces 18th Annual iFiveK Race
Press Release
Runners roll forward at the iFiveK starting line
Charleston Digital announces the return of the iFiveK, an annual spring tradition that blends wellness, networking, and community engagement within Charleston’s tech ecosystem. Entering its 18th year, the iFiveK is one of the most anticipated events on the local tech calendar. The 2026 race will be held at the Charleston Tech Center on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Registration is now open.
As the only weekday evening 5K in downtown Charleston, the iFiveK offers participants a unique race experience along a loop neighboring the Charleston Tech Center. Open to runners, joggers, walkers and amblers of all levels and ages, the event raises funds in support of Charleston Digital’s education and workforce development programs at the Charleston Learning Center. Participants and supporters are invited to continue the evening at the traditional favorite post-race celebration, featuring music, food and beverages from neighboring eateries and microbreweries.
“We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the iFiveK for the 8th consecutive year,” commented Lauren Barzee of race sponsor Omatic. “This always-fun event exemplifies the camaraderie and creative spirit that makes Charleston so unique. It’s a real celebration of our vibrant tech community plus a key support of Charleston Digital’s educational initiatives that help shape the next generation of trailblazers. We can’t wait to lace up our running shoes in April!”
“The iFiveK reflects the energy and collaboration that define Charleston’s tech scene,” said Ernest Andrade, Director of Charleston Digital. “It’s an opportunity to connect beyond the workplace, celebrate innovation, and support programs that expand access to technology education.”
Charleston Digital is thankful for the many sponsors that make this event possible. Their continued investment helps strengthen tech education initiatives while fostering meaningful connections across Charleston’s innovation community. Organizations interested in sponsorship opportunities for the 2026 iFiveK or additional event details are encouraged to contact Ernest Andrade at Charleston Digital by email or phone.
