SPARC Awarded Prime Contract for Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) Production Operations and Development Services

Charleston-based software company expands 24/7 support of SPAWAR and the Department of Veterans Affairs with production operations contract.
SPARC announced today it has been selected by SPAWAR as a prime contractor for the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) Production Operations and Development Services contract. This contract will deliver ongoing production support of VBMS, a cloud-based software platform with 24/7 operations across the country. This contract has a focus on supporting continuous installation and delivery of production software, network, and supporting infrastructure, as well as additional development of VMBS.

SPARC will be providing critical ongoing production operations and development support to the VBMS program, which was mentioned by President Obama in his 2015 State of the Union Address as having enabled the Department of Veteran Affairs to drastically reduce the claim backlog that has veterans waiting for benefits.
Specifically, this contract will deliver additional agile development on the VBMS system, continuous installation and delivery of production software, network & supporting infrastructure, system performance monitoring, operational security, runtime support, and capacity planning.
