DLO Unveils the all-new Trans-pod for iPod Shuffle at Macworld Expo Boston 2005

Like its brother, the TransPod for iPod and iPod mini, the TransPod for iPod shuffle broadcasts music to any FM radio frequency from 87.9 to 107.9. Unique features include a separate input and output that allows it to interface with other iPods and audio devices like the Sony PSP.

The DLO TransPod for iPod shuffle is the only car accessory shuffle owners will ever need. It lets them enjoy their entire music library on the road by broadcasting the iPod shuffle's music through a car's FM stereo. The DLO TransPod for iPod shuffle also charges the iPod shuffle while cradling it in an adjustable, easy to position dock that attaches to any standard 12V cigarette lighter. The DLO TransPod plays on any FM radio station, from 87.9 to 107.9, so it is easy for a person to find an unused frequency to play their shuffle's music.

It also has 4 assignable presets to save commonly used frequencies. The TransPod for iPod shuffle has two convenient, yet discreet surface mounted tuning buttons on either side. Squeezing the right button tunes up, and the left button tunes down by one-tenth frequency increments. When setting one of the four preset stations, users simply press and hold both tuning buttons simultaneously for three seconds. They can then squeeze both buttons to cycle through their saved presets.

The TransPod for iPod shuffle features a line-out for use with a cassette adapter or auxiliary car stereo input. It also offers an auxiliary input that can be used to transmit the audio of any MP3 player or audio device like a portable DVD player. The USB connection on the TransPod for iPod shuffle can even be used to charge USB compatible devices like cell phones or gaming systems. So for example, a user can utilize their TransPod for iPod shuffle to broadcast their Sony PSP audio over their car stereo - while charging it at the same time.
